During the month of May, Universidad Central del Caribe will be working on the Continued Education system. Therefore, the modules will not be available for enrollment during the MONTH OF JUNE. Afterwards, they will once again be available after July 1, 2008 with new continued education courses.

Continuing Education
With the object of providing continuing medical education in a more accessible manner to participating physicians in Triple-S Salud network, we offer you the opportunity of taking continuing education courses through online educational modules. This continuing education project is a joint venture with the Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine. Available courses are approved by the Board of Medical Examiners of Puerto Rico.
At present, we have seven courses available, free of cost, which will be offered to Triple-S Salud participating physicians who register in the Educational Program. Each course will provide you with continuing education credits, with a value of 3.0 to 4.0 credits.

Enrollment
To enroll in any of the courses available, access the following electronic address: ssscontinua.uccaribe.edu. To access the courses, you should enter a user name and an access code. Follow the instructions found in the section for New User. In order to participate, every provider must have an e-mail address. There are professional websites available that offer free e-mail accounts to registered members, such as: Medscape.com
Course Approval
Every participant that enrolls in the course will have two weeks to complete the educational session. Continuing education credits will be obtained as soon as the participant satisfactorily completes the test at the end of the module and the evaluation form. To obtain the credits, the participant must complete the test with a minimum of 70% correct answers. Each participant will get three opportunities to complete the test. Each time you access the test, you will use up one opportunity.

We invite you to participate in the Educational Program that Triple-S Salud offers you through the medical education modules. The modules presented here will allow you to obtain useful tools related to the most recent concepts in the practice of medicine.
