QUICKhelp is a resource that can contribute to improving efficiency and performance in the workplace, making the most of the each person’s individual accomplishments. To achieve this success in the job area, it is important to deal with emotional, behavioral and mental health personal problems. When this type of problem is managed by a professional in this field, you may achieve a better quality of life, as a result.

To help you deal with these problems you have QUICKhelp, a program that offers confidential assistance in issues such as marriage, family, personal relationships, parenting, childcare and elder care, life changes, substance and alcohol abuse, financial issues and legal matters. Under this program, there are three providers (Inspira Mental Health Management, Inc., Lucy López Roig EAP, Inc. and Ceridian Corporation) all of which offer services related to these issues. So check with your benefits plan administrator to help you identify from which of the three providers you should receive the required service.

If you have QUICKhelp through Ceridian, our program offers you:

Counseling services – Telephone based service is offered 24 hours, for issues such as marriage and family problems, parenting and child care, life changes such as divorce, births, and relocation, death of a loved one, elder care, mental health situations and work related issues.

Services for children and adolescents – services include help with parenting skills, information for finding child care facilities, adoption, child development (infants, preschoolers, pre-teens and teens), how to work with teachers and educators, school problems, study habits and how to prepare for the start of college, among others.

Geriatric Care – Guidance and assistance is offered in areas such as elder care, searching for different types of living arrangements, care and facilities, the aging process, caregiver support and help. Additionally, information about Medicare and Medicaid, guide to home care services, grief counseling and loss of a loved one.

Financial guidance – our resources are prepared to offer assistance and professional referrals to professionals with expertise in finances. Services include financial planning, budgeting, handling financial problems, among others.

Legal advice – in criminal issues, damages, real estate, landlord/tenant issues, family situations, divorces, legal rights, etc.

Drugs and Alcohol – Ceridian’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers management services that include initial evaluation, contact with participating provider for face-to-face evaluation, compliance monitoring for one year from the date of initial contact, as well as verbal and written reports detailing recommendations for service during and after treatment.

If you have QUICKhelp through INSPIRA, our program offers you:

Direct Clinical Services* – Appointments for psychological evaluation, support, guidance, counseling and therapy for the employee and his/her family members for the handling of personal problems, marriage or family difficulties, substance and alcohol use and abuse, loss of loved ones, work related stress or tension, among others. Services are offered by mental health professionals licensed in Puerto Rico: Clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, addiction counselors (some specialized in children and adolescents). Initial evaluations and treatment services are available seven days a week.

Family guidance – for the handling of the psychological and emotional development of the beneficiary’s pre-adolescent and adolescent children, with the purpose of promoting excellence in their social and academic performance. This includes collaboration with teachers, interpretation of psychological tests, resolution of school and academic problems, improvement of communication skills, responsible sexuality.

Health promotion and prevention – Guidance to reduce conflict and stress that trigger psychosomatic conditions, disease and accidents due to unhealthy lifestyles.

Geriatric Care – our social workers are prepared to offer assistance, guidance and referrals for the care of aging family members.

“VIP” Confidential Services – in the Torre del Hospital Auxilio Mutuo.

Financial Guidance – our resources are prepared to provide assistance and referrals to professionals with expertise in personal finances. Services include financial planning, budgeting and handling of financial problems, among others.

Legal Advice – in criminal issues, damages, bankruptcy, family situations, divorce, child support, etc.

Drugs and Alcohol – The INSPIRA EAP offers a year-long structured and intensive rehabilitation treatment which guarantees that the company is in compliance with all regulations related to the handling of alcoholism and drug dependency. This program is certified by ASSMCA and it is the treatment alternative as established by law for drug free environments.**

Referrals to Specialists or Community Resources – INSPIRA has an extensive group of support and human service resources to receive services outside the Program in different areas.

If you have QUICKhelp through Lucy López Roig, EAP, Inc., our program offers you confidential information in the following areas:

Individualized Psychological Support (employees and family members) – Face-to-face counseling and psychotherapy, to help participants deal with worries or troubles such as marital or family conflicts, depression and anxiety, children’s behavioral problems, violent behavior, work related stress or tension, and alcohol or illegal substance abuse. The employee has direct access to his or her provider of choice.

Services for Children and Adolescents – Psychological counseling focused on the particular difficulties of children and adolescents such as deficient academic progress, and aggressive or inadequate behaviors in the centers for Student Assistance Services (SAS), through Lucy López Roig EAP, Inc.’s provider network, as well as referrals to specialized resources. Additionally, in the SAS center, up to three (3) consultations for speech therapy and occupational therapy services (children and adolescents) for evaluation, recommendations and referral, after being referred by the psychologist who handles the initial interview.

Services for Elderly Family Members – Counseling to help participating employees to deal with specific situations related to their elderly parents and in-laws. Additionally, help for employees’ parents and in-laws in need of special counseling to deal with the aging process.

Financial Advice – Includes budgeting, long-term financial planning, savings, investments, retirement, handling of financial problems, credit problems, among others.
Legal Advice in criminal issues, damages, bankruptcy, traffic issues, family situations, divorces, child support, etc.

Referral to Specialists or Community Resources – The program offers its providers and participants a compilation of community resources to handle different problems or situations.

Direct Access

  • Freedom to choose among numerous providers throughout the Island, including Vieques and the Virgin Islands and in the Lucy López Roig EAP, Inc. Clinical Service centers, located in Hato Rey, Santurce and Caguas.

Confidentiality

  • Services offered by the EAP are kept in strict confidentiality. All service providers follow the best practices to meet HIPAA privacy standards.

Attention to Emergencies

  • In case of an emergency, the employee can contact the EAP counselor on shift through a direct service toll-free telephone line. Both services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Case Management and Follow up

  • Each participating provider in the Lucy López Roig EAP, Inc. provider network offers a treatment plan for every participant in the program’s counseling and psychotherapy services. This includes services within the EAP and referrals to other resources. Even when the employees are referred to services outside the program, follow-up sessions are offered to guarantee that the treatment plan is followed and that solutions have been found to the situation that was initially presented.
